The FASTEST and EASIEST way to make 3D assets

I made a video on the subject:

When making a 3D game you fall into 2 categories of people:

1. The people that know their way around Blender and make their own models. Can be low poly or super detailed.

2. The inferior race that relies on master 3D modelers or gets 3D assets from assets stores, and is either 100% dependent on a team member or just end up with a game that looks like an asset flip.

I was in the second category for a long time, but I've found peace in a 3D art style that is often overlooked: Voxels.

Yes, voxels, the little cubes. Now, I think the reason this style is often overlooked is because of one game: Minecraft. Automatically people associate the term "voxel" with childish cheap Minecraft clones, something that is very hard to take seriously.

But this is slowly loosing effect. With proper lighting, themes and colors, you can make some pretty neat looking games. just look at Teardown.

It's becoming a trend. Models can look really, really detailed if you use tinier voxels. And even then, if you use bigger voxels, you can still make it look high quality with post processing effects and lighting.

Have I convinced you voxels are a great alternative? Good.

Now, the best way I've found to make these models is with a tool called VoxEdit

It's a really tiny program, only a few kilobytes. It contains a modeler and an animator, and some NFT/metaverse thing that I didn't care all that much about.

I'll soon be uploading 2 tutorials: one for modeling and one for animating.
